A real-world racing game born out of a global lockdown — designed to pull millions of people away from their couches and back into the streets, parks, and plazas of their cities.
Every line of code, every screen, every algorithm in this app is written by one person. The compass math, the GPS filtering, the AR view-finder, the backend, the localization across 15 languages, the 22-piece sealed digital vault, the website you are reading now — all of it crafted from a single workstation in Turkey, driven by a single vision: get people moving again.
This is not a venture-backed studio. It is one developer, one mission, one public roadmap that listens to its players.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, like millions of others, I was stuck inside. People could not leave their homes. They sat for hours in front of screens, playing the same kind of static, sedentary games. I noticed something deeper than boredom — people were starting to miss the outside world. They wanted to move. They wanted real fun. They wanted real air.
The mainstream gaming industry was offering more couches, more controllers, more screen time. I wanted the opposite. I asked a simple question: what if the most exciting map you could ever play on was the street in front of your house? A 100-meter sprint, a real GPS, a real chest waiting to be found, a real chance to win something rare — only by physically getting up.
Years of design, prototyping, throwing things away, rebuilding. The compass needed Kalman filtering so it would not jitter on slow GPS hardware. The chest reveal needed AR so it would feel like magic. The vault needed to be sealed so no two players ever own the same legendary item. Every single piece had to be earned in code.
The game is currently live as a public demo. The core loop works, 22 sealed legendary collectibles are in circulation, the compass locks in 1–2 seconds, the AR view-finder opens at 15 m and auto-captures at 2 m. But this is just the beginning. I will keep developing this app for years, one player request at a time — the roadmap is yours, not mine.
To turn the act of standing up, stepping outside, and breaking into a real 100-meter sprint into the most fun thing a person can do with their phone. To replace endless scrolling with footsteps, heart-rate, sunlight, and the joy of finding something rare in the street where you live. To give every city, every park, every plaza on Earth a hidden layer of treasure waiting to be claimed.
To become the world's first truly global real-world racing platform — a daily ritual for tens of millions of players across every continent. To make GPS Treasure Hunt the single app on a person's phone that consistently makes them healthier, happier, and more connected to the place they live. A future where pulling someone outside is no longer hard, because the most exciting game in the world is happening on their own street.
The app is already on the App Store & Google Play, but it is openly labelled as a demo. The full feature set you see here works, but I am still shipping updates every two weeks, watching how people play, reading every email, and rewriting parts of the game based on real user feedback. The app you download today is great — the app a year from now will be an order of magnitude better, because it will be shaped by you.
You are running in real streets. Your data, your purchases, and your physical safety are all taken seriously. None of these are afterthoughts — they were designed in from day one.
Every race is validated on the server. GPS spoofing, location-jitter exploits, and impossible-speed runs are flagged automatically.
HTTPS / TLS for every request. Hashed passwords (bcrypt). Access-restricted databases. We never store your password in plain text.
The app shows traffic / surroundings warnings before every race. Voice cues let you keep your eyes on the path instead of the screen.
This game is not suitable for children under 13 and may be harmful to them. Players aged 13–17 require parental permission and must only race in safe areas away from traffic.
Phone numbers, URLs, and abusive language are filtered before any message is delivered. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Full data-subject rights — access, correct, export, delete. EU GDPR and equivalent privacy laws (UK GDPR, CCPA, LGPD) plus Apple / Google guidelines all respected.
Every feature on the roadmap was once a player's email. Found a bug? Have an idea for a new mode? Want a new language? Hate something? Tell me. I read every message myself.
